Mobile Self Storage Kingham | Faringdon Removals

Mobile self storage in Kingham. Pod on your driveway. No driving to a depot.

Faringdon Removals delivers mobile self storage to every Kingham OX7 address for £30 per week per 250cuft pod, plus a one-off £99 collection fee. Pod arrives on your driveway at 9am, you load it, we collect by 6pm and take it to our Oxfordshire depot. Booked online in 90 seconds.

Why Kingham chooses mobile over a warehouse

Kingham is deep Cotswolds. A village of stone cottages, second homes, holiday lets and weekending Londoners on the Paddington line. The nearest proper warehouse self-storage is half an hour away, and driving a hire van back and forth down single-track lanes is nobody’s idea of a weekend.

Mobile self storage flips it. We bring the pod to your door: a stone cottage in Kingham village itself, a barn conversion near Daylesford, a thatched place in Bledington, a working farmhouse out at Foscot or Idbury, or an Adlestrop weekend bolthole. You load it in front of your own house, in one day. We take it back to our 22-mile-away depot in Faringdon. Same money. Half the work. Zero hire vans on the Daylesford lanes.

Kingham questions

Our cottage is down a single-track lane. Can the trailer actually get there?

Almost always yes. The trailer + tow vehicle needs about 8m × 3m of stopping space. Single-track lanes with passing places are routine for us. Most of the OX7 villages are like that. Send a What3Words and a photo if unsure.

We only use the cottage on weekends. Can we be there for the collection day?

Yes, but you don’t have to. The most common pattern: come down Friday night, load through Saturday, we collect Saturday 6pm or Sunday morning. Or leave a key with a neighbour / cleaner / Daylesford-area housekeeper and we’ll co-ordinate access.

We run a holiday let. Can we rotate seasonal stock in and out?

Yes. Strong use case. Store the winter throws and bedding through summer, swap them back in October. Each return delivery is a separate booking (£99 Basic / £98–£198 Premium) so a twice-a-year rotation is roughly £200 plus your weekly pod rent. Cheaper than dedicating a barn or annexe to off-season stock.

How does this compare to driving to a warehouse in Witney or Oxford?

Witney / Oxford warehouse self-storage typically means a 25-mile round trip per loading session, plus a hire van, plus £30–£45/week for a small unit, plus insurance. We’re £30/week for an equivalent-volume pod delivered to your Cotswolds front door. See comparison page.

Where do you store the pod?

Our depot is in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, about 22 miles south-east of Kingham via the A361 and A420. Dry, alarmed, CCTV monitored, full pod insurance included.
