Faringdon Removals delivers secure archive storage pods to businesses across Oxford, Swindon and the wider 30-mile radius for £10 per week (35cuft) or £20 per week (125cuft), plus £99 collection. The office-overspill problem
The boardroom has become a stockroom. Six years of HMRC-required paperwork is in a Pukka pad pile behind reception. The accountant has just told you to keep client files for six years, the solicitor has told you seven, and the cleaner has stopped opening that cupboard. Meanwhile rent on your Oxford or Swindon office is £30 per square foot per year and you’re using a quarter of it as a paper graveyard.
Renting an off-site self-storage warehouse unit works, but adds a monthly trip to retrieve a file, plus a 1-week minimum prepay and a long-term contract. Mobile self storage is the lighter option: pod arrives, you fill it, it goes away.
How it works for businesses
- Book online with a business account. VAT invoices issued automatically by our Xero integration.
- Pod arrives at your office between 9am-10am on the date you choose, Mon-Fri or Sat.
- Your team loads it. Usually a morning’s work for a year’s archive backlog. Add our Premium crew for £198 if you’d rather have it done by lunch.
- 6pm we collect. Pod goes to our Faringdon depot. Locked, alarmed, CCTV-monitored, fire-suppressed.
- Need a file back? 48hrs notice, depot retrieval, no charge for one access per quarter; £30 per visit thereafter. Or order the whole pod back for £99 Basic / £148 Premium.
- When you’re done with the archive (e.g. records hit their statutory expiry), book our GDPR-compliant on-site shredding and disposal: £75 per cubic metre, certificate of destruction provided.

Business questions
Can we get a VAT invoice, monthly statements, business account?
Yes. Set up a business account at checkout. Invoices issue automatically via our Xero integration, with your VAT number on, monthly statement, BACS payment option available on request.
How fast can we retrieve a specific file?
48 working hours from request to file in your hands. If you give us a clear box-labelling scheme at collection (e.g. “2023 Q1 client files”), retrievals are quick. For more frequent access, a 125cuft pod with shelving inside works better than 30 boxes deep.
Is the storage GDPR-compliant for client records?
The storage itself is secure, access-controlled, and audit-trailed. Meets ICO guidance for offsite retention. Final compliance always rests with you as data controller. We provide the secure physical environment and the audit trail. Certified disposal on request.
Can we deliver our own pre-packed boxes to your depot rather than have a pod on site?
No. We don’t offer self-deliver-to-depot for security and audit reasons. Pod must come to your office; you load; we collect. That keeps the chain of custody clean.
What if we need fire-rated storage or temperature control for legal records?
Standard pods are dry, ventilated and depot-protected against fire (sprinkler/alarm). For specialist fire-rated archive boxes (e.g. wills, deeds), put them in fire-rated containers within the pod. Climate-controlled storage is at our sister site pianostorage.co.uk if needed.
